Emma has over 25 years experience in dentistry having qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1997. Emma has worked at the practice since 2010. She takes great pride in her role and likes to manage a friendly happy team creating a relaxed atmosphere throughout. She is very passionate about her position and keeps up to date with all practice policies, guidelines and supporting staff members in further training and development.
Getting to know the patients and being involved in their journey throughout their treatment gives her great satisfaction.
Most of Emma's spare time is spent with her family especially her husband and son Dylan. She enjoys socialising with friends and spa days. She also has a passion for running, bike rides and long walks with her dog.
Dr Javaid graduated dentistry in 2006 and began working as an associate in an Orthodontic practice where she found her passion in the field of Orthodontics.
She did a diploma in Dental Clinical Sciences from Queen Mary University of London followed by a 3 year masters program in Orthodontics from the prestigious King’s College in London. The postgraduate residency was based at the Guy’s Hospital , London Bridge following which she obtained Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in 2012. Dr Javaid worked in the craniofacial department at Kings College during her residency doing her thesis, this made her more interested in facial growth and uses functional appliances for growth modification in adolescent patients which could prevent them from future surgical correction. She has presented her research and cases in conferences in Europe and America during her training and attends the European Orthodontic Conference every year meeting colleagues and friends and gaining knowledge on the latest clinical guidelines and research.
She has also worked as a Specialist Orthodontist in Dubai in one of the best practices in town and then moved back to the UK in 2016. She has a friendly nature and approaches both children and adults with a lot of compassion making it possible for them to achieve a beautiful and healthy smile. She is a certified Invisalign (aligners) and Incognito (hidden braces) provider. She uses a variety of bracket systems including Damon, SmartClip and Clarity Ceramic braces and suggest patients the best appliances according to their requirements. She has most recently started working at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital in London to expand her horizon of Orthodontics. Out of work, Dr Javaid enjoys travelling and cooking different cuisines.
Grant obtained his Bachelor degree in 2011 from the University of Dundee and completed his foundation training in Edinburgh before attaining maxillofacial, paediatric and orthodontic senior house officer posts in various teaching hospitals around the UK.
He then worked in general dental practice in Glasgow and the West Midlands. He carried out his orthodontic specialist training in Liverpool and simultaneously completed a Doctorate level research degree.
Grant has lectured nationally and internationally and has published numerous scientific papers in both European and National journals.
Helena joined Stoke Orthodontics in 2015. Her bubbly personality and friendly smile makes her a very popular member of our team. She is very keen to expand her dentistry knowledge and is finding Orthodontics very interesting.
Her hobbies include biking and socialising with her group of friends.
Tracy is our longest serving team member, she has worked at the practice since it first opened in 2002. Tracy is very passionate and loyal and what she loves most about her job is her work family and meeting new people and seeing how the treatment we provide makes such a difference to them.
Tracy loves disco dancing, films and eating out. Tracy is a very proud mother to Skyla.
Charlotte is front of house with a beaming smile and friendly nature. She has a good rapport with our patients and nothing is ever too much trouble for her.
Charlotte's spare time involves spending quality time with friends and family, especially her three children.
